Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 40 hours per week with 8 and/or 12 hour shifts available
• Evening and/or night shift hours
• At least every other weekend and every other holiday required, based on department need
• Float to Westerly Hospital as needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience required within specialty
• Pediatrics experience required
• CT and RI state licenses required - may start with one active and one pending
• Required certifications: BLS, CRT, RRT
• Charting system: Epic (preferred)
• Scrubs: Navy blue
• Free parking available
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills include but are not limited to: adult critical care, BiPAP, CPAP, bubble CPAP, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), intubation assist, tracheostomy care/management, mechanical ventilation weaning, arterial blood gas drawing and interpretation, nasal and oral airway placement, suctioning (ETT, NT), chest physiotherapy, pulmonary hygiene, metered dose inhaler (MDI), oxygen tanks, T-piece, trach collar, and troubleshooting high pressure alarms

This facility is a short-term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds, part of a large regional health system. The organization provides comprehensive care across a wide range of patient populations from neonates to geriatrics, and maintains high standards for clinical excellence and patient safety. The facility is equipped with modern technology and supports a collaborative, interdisciplinary care environment.
