Opportunity:
Radiologic Technologist
Job Details:
• Perform diagnostic imaging services using various modalities including X-ray, Fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR work
• Execute all exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or in coordination with a Radiologist
• Practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA standards
• Operate imaging equipment consistent with manufacturer recommendations
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with service engineers for outside maintenance as needed
• Verify exam orders and identify patients using two forms of identification prior to procedures
• Provide patient education on procedures and equipment
• Review and document patient medical history, obtain informed consent, and ensure all necessary paperwork and prior studies are available
• Maintain accurate patient records in EHR, including procedure and supply charges
• Assist in other imaging modalities, adjust schedules, and take call, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed
• Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when required
• Train or cross-train imaging staff members as directed
• Order, stock, and maintain supply inventory
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program required
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist preferred
• Cross-training in additional modalities such as CT, MRI, DEXA, and Mammography preferred
• Experience with electronic records including PACS and RIS/HIS preferred
• Must adhere to facility attire and dress code in accordance with organizational policies
