Opportunity:

MS/Tele RN

Job Details:

• Float position between two hospital facilities based on census needs
• Weekends required - minimum every other weekend
• No on-call required
• Block schedules not required
• Expected patient ratios of 1:5, with ratios up to 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Treat patients with diagnoses including surgical patients, ORIF, wound vac/infections, cellulitis, and BKA
• Scrub color: any color accepted
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• No parking fee
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Minimum 1 year of recent MS/Tele experience required
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of arterial blood gases, isolation precautions/PPE, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, PCA management, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, and IV placement and maintenance
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities - refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours

Facility:

This critical access hospital operates with 23 total staff beds and a daily census of approximately 13 patients across 12 rooms. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The organization maintains high standards of patient care and utilizes Epic for electronic charting across its network of facilities.
