Opportunity:
RN - Telemetry
Job Details:
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Saturday/Sunday) required
• First to float between all Telemetry and MedSurg units
• Floating required between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses (9 miles apart, approximately 15 minutes by interstate)
• Notification of campus and unit assignment given 1.5 hours prior to shift start
• Mid-shift floating to different units is possible
• Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other campus
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing contract (maximum 2 attempts within 48 hours of offer)
• Must pass a pass/fail Simulation Lab on day one of orientation
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 on Telemetry units and 1:4 on MedSurg units
• Charge nurses present on all units without patient assignments
• PCTs available at a ratio of 1 per every 16 patients on Telemetry units
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
• Centralized telemetry monitoring on Telemetry units; RNs must be able to interpret EKGs
• GE Monitors with central monitoring station tech available on MedSurg units
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Navy
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Units include CV Tele B3A, Neuro A3, MedSurg C5, and MedSurg B2C
• Common diagnoses include post cath lab, post vascular procedures, CABG patients, neurological post-surgical, CVAs post TPA, orthopedic, surgical, and oncology patients
• No ventilator management required
• No pediatric patients; minimum patient age is 15 years old
• Spectralink phones with attached call lights used on MedSurg units

This acute care, Level 1 Trauma facility operates across two campuses and provides comprehensive medical services including cardiovascular telemetry, neurology, medical-surgical, orthopedic, and oncology care. The facility features robust support services including 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy, centralized telemetry monitoring, and dedicated charge nurses and clinical supervisors on every unit. The organization is JHACO certified for its orthopedic knee and hip program and maintains high standards of patient care across all departments.
