Opportunity:

RN MS/TELE

Job Details:

• 3x12 rotating shifts covering all days of the week
• Day shift patient ratio is 1:5 and night shift patient ratio is 1:6; ratios may flex up based on staffing and unit needs, so candidates must be comfortable working in environments with flexible staffing ratios
• Weekend coverage required per unit needs
• No on-call required
• 2 years of acute care experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with required experience
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: AHA BLS
• Colorado or compact RN license required
• Must be comfortable floating to inpatient acute care and med/surg units within the hospital, as well as to sister facilities in the metro area as needed
• Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, peripheral line care and management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Patient population consists of adults with diagnoses including sepsis, GI bleeds, pancreatitis, sickle cell crisis, complicated wound care, alcohol/drug withdrawal, delirium, respiratory illnesses, C-diff, early liver disease, and overflow from specialty areas
• Special procedures include bedside thoracentesis, bedside paracentesis, bedside biopsies, and continuous bladder irrigation
• Special equipment includes PCEA and PCA
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
