Opportunity:

Respiratory Practitioner DME

Job Details:

• Provide basic equipment-related patient assessments and coordinate equipment setup
• Block scheduling type
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends
• Minimum 1 year of previous respiratory care experience required
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Patient age groups include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses include COPD and sleep apnea
• Required skills: Apnea Monitor, BiPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), suctioning (ETT, NT), trach collar, and tracheostomy care/management
• Special equipment used: CPAP, BiPAP, tracheostomy, apnea monitors, and cough assist
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services and interpretation services
• Float may be required in rotation with facility staff in accordance with clinical experience
• Required certifications: RRT, BLS
• Required license: MD License
