Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call or standby requirement for agency staff
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 4-5 patients during days and 5-6 patients during nights
• 18-bed telemetry unit treating common diagnoses including stroke, CHF, ACS, CAD, post heart cath patients, and arrhythmias
• Cath lab post recovery experience (femoral/radial) and stroke care experience highly preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of recent experience required
• Must have drip experience; common drips include Cardizem, Amio, Dopamine, and Heparin
• RNs are responsible for signing off on telemetry strips alongside monitor technicians
• Floating may be required to ICU, Med/Surg, or ER within scope of practice including ER boarders
• Equipment used includes BiPAP and High Flow
• Charting system is MEDITECH; prior MEDITECH experience is a plus
• Nurse aides available on the unit with acuity-based ratio of 2 CNAs
• Department-specific orientation consists of 2 12-hour shifts
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; phlebotomy certification is a plus
• Illinois nursing license required
• BSN not required

The unit is supported by monitor technicians, charge nurses, nurse aides, and respiratory therapy staff, providing a collaborative care environment. The facility utilizes MEDITECH as its electronic charting system and maintains access to advanced respiratory equipment to support diverse patient needs.
