Description

Requirements:

*Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

*ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required; CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred/required per facility

*State radiologic technology license (as applicable)

*BLS certification required *1+ years of CT experience preferred (varies by facility)

*IV certification/venipuncture skills often required

Duties:

Perform computed tomography (CT) imaging exams per physician orders, ensuring accurate positioning and image quality
Prepare and administer contrast media as ordered, monitoring patients for adverse reactions
Review patient history and screening for contraindications (allergies, renal function, pregnancy)
Operate and maintain CT equipment, troubleshooting technical issues as needed
Ensure radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles are followed
Accurately document exams and maintain patient records in RIS/PACS systems
Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure diagnostic quality imaging
