Description

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in state of practice (or compact license as applicable)
  • BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • CCRN certification preferred
  • 1+ years of ICU/critical care experience required
  • Experience with critical care equipment (ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, titratable drips)

Duties:

  • Provide direct, comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and support
  • Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care as needed
  • Administer medications, including titratable vasoactive and sedation drips, per physician orders
  • Manage and monitor advanced life support equipment (ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, hemodynamic monitors)
  • Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, and interdisciplinary team on plan of care
  • Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
  • Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plan, and care needs
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient response in the EMR
  • Maintain 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios per acuity and facility staffing guidelines
  • Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed for high-acuity patients
