**Job Description:**

- Shift: 19:00-07:00
- **Guaranteed Hours:** 48
- **Contract Duration:** 91 weeks

- **Location:** Kansas City, MO
- **Units:**
- ADOL: 18 beds (Ages 12-18)
- Serenity: 24 beds (Lower acuity adult unit)
- ITU: 32 beds (Higher acuity adult unit - thought disorders)
- SRAD: 16 beds (Senior lifestyle patients)
- VINE: 9 beds (Lower acuity adult unit)

- **Patient Ratios:**
- Nurses: 8 to 1
- MHTs: 12 to 1

- **Unit Staffing Description:**
- Work with diverse patient populations and treatment needs.
- Collaborate with a compassionate team.

- **Key Responsibilities:**
- Assess and recognize signs of psychiatric disorders and behavioral issues.
- Develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects.
- Provide crisis intervention support and apply de-escalation techniques.
- Deliver therapeutic communication to establish trust and rapport.

- **Essential Skills Needed:**
- Strong ability in crisis intervention and medication management.
- Proficient in therapeutic communication and active listening.
- Experience with psychotropic medications.

- **Documentation System:** Meditech

- **Dress Code:**
- Nurses: Blue uniforms
- MHTs: Green or black uniforms
