Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or compact state (required for travel nurse jobs)
- At least 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
- Current BLS certification (ACLS certification preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to ICU treatments
- Administer medications, treatments, and advanced life support interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on ICU care procedures and recovery expectations
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with hospital and healthcare regulations
