ICU Nurse Job Details

• Location: Ironwood, MI 49938 (Upper Peninsula)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: January 3, 2026
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2100 - $2250
• Charting System: EPIC (preferred for healthcare jobs)
• Scrub Colors: Any color
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday
• Float Requirement: May float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed
• On-Call: Possible during low census hours (with on-call pay)
• Orientation: 8 hours
• Radius Rule: Must live outside a 50-mile radius from facility

ICU RN Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (required for Michigan healthcare jobs)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
• Ability to work independently, adapt to change, and manage tasks efficiently
• Must be able to work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed to support patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC
• Participate in on-call rotation during low census periods
• Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and strong communication skills
