Med/Surg RN Job Details – Cleveland, OH

• Location: Cleveland, OH 44106
• Unit: UHC Lerner 9 (LT9) – 30-bed medical/surgical unit specializing in solid organ transplant and bariatric surgery
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Open Positions: 4 Med/Surg RN jobs available
• Start Date: November 30, 2025
• End Date: February 28, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910 – $1960
• Employment Type: W2 travel nursing job

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday (EOW/EOH required)
• Completion of all required onboarding screenings and verifications, including:
  • MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Fit Test, Influenza Vaccine
  • Physical/Health Statement
  • Ohio Fingerprints, Education & Employment Verification
  • Driver's License/State ID
  • Skills Checklist and Submission Packet

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pre-op and post-op transplant and bariatric surgery patients, as well as general medical/surgical patients
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress in a clinical setting
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process
• Participate in intermittent charge nurse responsibilities (charge training/shadowing provided)
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards
