Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

• Location: Great Barrington, MA 01230 (Berkshires, Massachusetts)
• Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/24/2025 – End: 2/23/2026)
• Nursing Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed (must work 2 major holidays if assignment covers them)
• On-Site Registered Nurse Position
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100 - $2250

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Postpartum and Mother-Baby nursing experience required
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Active Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with application)
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP, STABLE (all must be current and uploaded with profile)
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for the assignment
• Permanent address required with application (candidates within 50 miles of facility not considered)
• Work history, recent skills checklist (within 1 year), and 1 supervisory reference (within 2 years) required
• All requested time off (maximum 3 days) must be submitted with application

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including assessment, monitoring, and support throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants to ensure individualized patient care and positive birth experiences
• Assist with Cesarean births and provide perioperative care in specialized operating rooms as needed
• Educate and support mothers and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold hospital policies and patient safety standards
• Participate in orientation, ongoing nursing training, and quality improvement initiatives
