Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, and telemetry skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient care abilities

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients in an acute care hospital
• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms; promptly report changes to the healthcare team
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, care plans, and discharge instructions
