Med/Surg RN Job Details – Cumming, GA

• Location: Cumming, Georgia 30041 (Forsyth County)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Cardiology Unit – Medical/Surgical
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• End Date: March 21, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts/week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Open Positions: 1
• Holiday Coverage: Must work 1 major holiday (Christmas Day or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1610

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Georgia or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Acute Cardiology nursing experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
• Ability to work required holiday shifts as outlined
• Travel nurses must reside at least 50 miles from Cumming, GA

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Acute Cardiology/Med-Surg unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and clinical staff
