Job Details – Cath Lab Technologist
- Location: Munster, Indiana (46321) – near Chicago
- Position: CT / Radiologic Technologist – Cath Lab (Travel Contract)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: December 15, 2025
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour day shifts (9:30am–6:00pm), rotating call and late shifts
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Call: Required (1 call night/week, 2 call weekends/contract)
- Patient Population: Adult patients
- Unit: Cath Lab (6 procedure rooms)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2260–$2430
Qualifications – CT / Rad Tech
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist or in a similar radiology/cardiology setting
- Active Indiana State License or compact license required at time of submission
- Certifications: ARRT (R), BLS, ACLS, CCI RCIS
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system
- Ability to arrive within 30 minutes when on call for acute STEMI cases
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical exemptions considered)
- Preferred: Previous charge, trauma level I/II, or community hospital experience
Key Responsibilities – Cath Lab Technologist
- Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, and peripheral angiograms
- Operate and maintain advanced imaging and monitoring equipment (Penumbra, Inari, IMPELLA, IABP, ICE, Shockwave, Mechanical Thrombectomy, EKOS)
- Maintain sterile technique and assist with scrub procedures in the Cath Lab
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data and cardiac rhythms
- Participate in rotating call and late shifts, ensuring rapid response to emergent cardiac cases
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, physicians, and support staff
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in the EPIC electronic health record system
- Deliver compassionate care to patients with cardiac diagnoses such as CAD, STEMI, NSTEMI, and arrhythmias
