Labor & Delivery RN Job Details – Knoxville, TN

• End Date: March 16, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,730 - $1,770

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Intermediate Course certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Experience with Cerner EMR/charting system
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to float within Women’s and Infants scope (may occasionally work in Post-Partum/Ante-Partum units)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, expert care to laboring mothers and newborns in a clinical setting
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret fetal heart tracings, and respond to obstetric emergencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner electronic medical records
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical education as required
• Work every other weekend and adapt to unit needs, including occasional floating within scope
