Job Details – Surgical Technologist Travel Assignment
- Location: Bangor, ME 04401 – Central Maine healthcare jobs in a city known for its beautiful parks and lively arts scene
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/23/2026)
- Setting: On-Site, Hospital Operating Room
- Shift: Day Shift, 12-hour shifts
- Hours per Week: 40 guaranteed hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020-$2070
- Employment Type: Travel Contract – Maine surgical technologist jobs
Qualifications – OR Tech / Surgical First Assistant
- Completion of an accredited Trade or Technical School program (Certificate or diploma required)
- CSFA (Certified Surgical First Assistant) Certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (must be current or obtained within three months)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist or First Assistant preferred
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, clinical anatomy, and sterile techniques
- Excellent organizational skills and a professional, collaborative attitude
Key Responsibilities – Surgical Technologist / OR Tech
- Assist surgeons directly during invasive surgical procedures in the operating room
- Maintain a safe, sterile environment and ensure all surgical equipment functions properly
- Prepare and handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment as needed
- Anticipate surgeon needs and support efficient operative procedures
- Assist with patient positioning, visualization of operative sites, hemostasis, and closure
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of normal and pathological anatomy and physiology
- Respond effectively to emergency situations in the OR
- Uphold a professional and collaborative approach within the surgical team
