Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026)
• Healthcare Setting: General Medical/Surgical Unit (GMS3)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour shifts per week (rotating Days: 07:00–19:00 & Nights: 19:00–07:00)
• Total Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1910 - $1960
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Unit Size: 36 beds
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Location: Du Bois, PA 15801 (Pennsylvania travel nursing jobs)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or compact state
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Ability to complete PA fingerprinting and Childline process promptly upon contract signing
• Willingness to complete required lab work within 72 hours of contract signing
• First-time travel nurses welcome!
• No local candidates (must reside more than 50 miles from facility)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 36-bed Med/Surg unit
• Manage patient ratios of 5:1 (days) and 6:1 (nights)
• Perform and document patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress
• Utilize clinical skills such as IV insertion, central/PICC line management, telemetry monitoring, and post-hemodialysis care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy
• Respond to rapid response and code situations as needed
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and isolation precautions
• Support patients and families with education and compassionate care throughout their hospital stay
