Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details – Allen, TX

• Location: Allen, TX 75013 – Thriving, family-friendly community near Dallas with top-rated schools and parks
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) position
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (new 10-bed unit)
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• End Date: March 15, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), including weekends and holidays as needed
• Hours per Week: 36
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1470 - $1570

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent experience as a Med/Surg Telemetry RN in a hospital setting, caring for post-op surgical and orthopedic patients
• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license – Texas or compact state preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – required

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to post-operative surgical and orthopedic patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry environment
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry rhythms and patient condition changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the hospital stay
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant healthcare environment
