MRI Technologist Job Details

• Location: Harrison Township, New Jersey (Zip: 08062) – Gloucester County
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital
• Schedule: 7:00am – 8:00pm, 3 days per week
• On-call: Twice a week; every other weekend
• Contract Duration: 13-week contract
• Hours per Week: 36
• Uniform: Black scrubs
• Electronic Medical Record: Cerner EMR
• Hourly Pay Rate: $96.72
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,120 - $2,270

MRI Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Proficient in MRI examination sequencing and preparation for all patient age groups: neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric
• Ability to complete full orientation as scheduled (no rescheduling permitted)

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality MRI images of designated anatomical areas as ordered by licensed physicians
• Demonstrate core competencies in imaging cardiac/cardiovascular, mammary, GI, endocrine, renal, and skeletal conditions
• Follow established hospital protocols and procedures for patient safety and comfort
• Prepare and position patients for MRI exams, ensuring proper sequencing and clinical accuracy
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and clinical support staff to deliver excellent patient care
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and weekend shifts as required
• Complete all required orientation modules and in-person training sessions
