Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Lebanon, PA 17042 (Pennsylvania nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Step Down Intermediate Care Unit (Medical/Surgical)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/29/2025 – End: 3/30/2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1850-$1890
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Holiday Rotation: Work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Floating: May float to rehab, stroke, and peritoneal dialysis units as needed
• Orientation: 8 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a U.S. healthcare setting
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (no license hits accepted)
• Current ACLS & BLS certifications (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC charting experience required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Skilled in caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions available)
• Tobacco and fragrance-free healthcare facility
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac disease, stroke, CHF, COPD, sepsis, arrhythmias, and post-surgical needs
• Administer medications, manage cardiac drips (no titration), and monitor telemetry
• Perform wound care, manage surgical drains, and provide tracheostomy care
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to other clinical units as needed, including rehab and stroke units
• Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as scheduled
