ICU Registered Nurse Job Details
- Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan 49007
- Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care Float (Travel Nursing Assignment)
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 13, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 – 19:30), 36 hours per week guaranteed
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Orientation: 12 hours (must be available first 2 weeks)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1840 - $1890
- Charting System: Epic EMR
Qualifications for ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care Float
- Active Michigan RN license (required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in Medical-Surgical and/or ICU nursing
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Proficiency with Epic EMR charting system
- Comfortable with Med Surg (4-6:1) and ICU (2-3:1) patient ratios
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions accepted)
- Professional references required

ICU RN Responsibilities – Critical Care Float
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in both Medical-Surgical and ICU settings
- Float between multiple units: Med Surg (AU, OSU, GSU, NVU, CAR, GMU, AMU, EMCU) and Critical Care (TCU, CSU, MICU, NCCU), as well as to Med Surg units as needed
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform wound care procedures
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and vital signs for critical care patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
- Participate in orientation and complete required training modules
- Follow hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
