Travel RN Job Details
- Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts (Zip: 02601) – Cape Cod healthcare jobs
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 4, 2026)
- Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour rotating night shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend, rotating holidays
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2100 - $2250
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Successful completion of CCHC Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams
- Strong communication skills in English
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), CCRN, TCAR, De-escalation Certification, and experience with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care, and intracranial pressure monitoring
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses in a critical care environment
- Guide patient care, education, and activities of ancillary healthcare staff
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop discharge plans
- Collaborate with allied healthcare professionals and communicate care plans
- Float between ICU and CVICU units as needed
- Utilize computerized nursing informatics systems
- Serve as a resource for patient care, staff orientation, and nursing education
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care evaluations
- Follow hospital safety and infection control policies
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional standards
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required nursing certifications
- Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing supervisor
