  • Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts (Zip: 02601) – Cape Cod healthcare jobs
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 4, 2026)
  • Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)
  • Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Shift: 12-hour rotating night shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend, rotating holidays
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2100 - $2250
  • Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Successful completion of CCHC Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), CCRN, TCAR, De-escalation Certification, and experience with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care, and intracranial pressure monitoring

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses in a critical care environment
  • Guide patient care, education, and activities of ancillary healthcare staff
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop discharge plans
  • Collaborate with allied healthcare professionals and communicate care plans
  • Float between ICU and CVICU units as needed
  • Utilize computerized nursing informatics systems
  • Serve as a resource for patient care, staff orientation, and nursing education
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care evaluations
  • Follow hospital safety and infection control policies
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional standards
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required nursing certifications
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing supervisor
