Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Stroudsburg, PA 18360 (Pocono Mountains)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Medical/Surgical Unit
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (6:45pm – 7:15am)
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Rotation: Every other weekend & every other holiday required
• Employment Type: Local Contract (W2)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000 – $2,100

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care hospital
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care on the Medical/Surgical unit in an acute care setting
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and clinical progress
• Administer medications, IVs, and prescribed treatments according to nursing standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and compliant environment for patients and healthcare staff
