ER RN Travel Assignment Details
- Location: Boston, MA 02118 (Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- End Date: April 4, 2026
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shifts: 12-hour shifts (7:00am-7:30pm, 11:00am-11:30pm, 3:00pm-3:30am); must be flexible to work all three shifts as needed
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
- Schedule: Rotating days/evenings, every other weekend and every other holiday
- Patient Ratio: 1:4-5, depending on patient acuity
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2150 - $2200
ER Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active, unexpired Registered Nurse (RN) license (Massachusetts RN license preferred for local candidates)
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II Emergency Department nursing experience or 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience
- Current certifications: TNCC, BLS, ACLS (required for all ER RN jobs)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry rhythm strips; must pass Telemetry Test on Day 1 with 85% or higher
- Ability to float to Psych ED and Pediatric ED (caring for patients age 15+ unless previous pediatric experience)
- At least 1 year of overall nursing experience required
- Preferred: EPIC EMR experience, previous travel nursing assignments, critical care background
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department with up to 120 treatment areas, serving 350-440 patients daily
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, initiate appropriate nursing interventions, and monitor patient progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float as needed to Psych ED and Pediatric ED (for patients age 15+)
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
- Demonstrate flexibility in shift coverage and unit assignments as required
- Note: Travel nurses will not be assigned to trauma rooms during this contract
