ER RN Job Details – Boston, MA
- Location: Boston, MA 02118 (prime location for Massachusetts nursing jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend and holiday required
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Unit: Emergency Department (non-trauma rooms)
- Number of Openings: 3
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2240-$2300
Emergency Room Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active and unexpired Registered Nurse (RN) license (Massachusetts RN license preferred for local candidates)
- Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II Emergency Department nursing experience or 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ER experience
- Current certifications: TNCC, BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry rhythm strips and identifying heart blocks (must pass Telemetry Test on Day 1 with 85%+ score)
- Willingness to float to Psych ED and Pediatric ED (care for age 15+ patients in pedi unless prior pediatric experience)
- At least 1 year of nursing experience required
- Preferred: EPIC EHR experience, previous travel nursing assignments, and critical care background
ER RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department serving 350-440 patients daily
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:4-5, based on acuity
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Float as needed to Psych ED and Pediatric ED (patients age 15+)
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment
