ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Conyers, GA 30012 (Greater Atlanta area)
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing job
• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – 18 beds, average daily census of 12
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15), 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1660-$1700 per week, depending on experience.
• Duration: 15-week contract (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/27/2026)
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Floating: Within facility and scope of practice
• Orientation: 13 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience (first-time travel nurses welcome)
• Active Georgia or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR charting preferred
• Background in community hospital, Trauma Level I/II, or LTAC healthcare settings preferred
• Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients
• Monitor and manage patients with complex diagnoses: sepsis, ARDS, CHF, post-STEMI, vascular conditions
• Perform advanced ICU procedures: ventilator management, arterial and central line care, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, blood product administration
• Interpret arterial blood gases, dysrhythmias, and 12-lead EKGs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
• Float to other nursing units within scope of practice as needed
• Follow infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions
• Participate in self-scheduling and work every other weekend
• Work required holidays per assignment guidelines
