PCU Registered Nurse Job Details
- Location: Phoenix, AZ 85016 – Arizona nursing jobs
- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/17/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:00 – 18:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1650-$1770
- Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
- Scrubs: Burgundy scrubs provided by facility
- Floating: May float to other healthcare facilities within 25 miles as needed
PCU RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NISS certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or Telemetry nursing experience
- Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system preferred
PCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac and vascular conditions
- Monitor and assess patients with diagnoses such as chest pain, STEMI, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and post-open heart procedures
- Assist with and recover patients from advanced cardiac procedures (ablations, TAVR, Mitralclips, electrophysiology studies)
- Perform and support special procedures including cardioversions, TEE, thoracentesis, and wound care
- Operate and maintain equipment such as EKG machines, IV pumps, wound vacs, and suction machines
- Accurately document patient care using Cerner EHR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a teaching hospital environment
- Float to other PCU or telemetry units or facilities within 25 miles as needed
