Medical/Surgical RN Job Details
- Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania 17042
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
- Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Unit (4 East, 1001-20303 GSH Comb Med Surg Units)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Total Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1720–$1850
- Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
- Patient Ratios: 6:1 (Nights)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: 2 of 3 major holidays
- Floating: May float to all Med/Surg floors and rehab as needed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (no license hits accepted)
- Current ACLS & BLS certifications (AHA or ARC only)
- EPIC charting experience required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions allowed per policy)
- Ability to work in a tobacco and fragrance-free healthcare facility
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off during contract
Medical/Surgical RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses, including CHF exacerbations, respiratory illness, arrhythmias, general surgery, orthopedic trauma, end-of-life care, COPD, and sepsis
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and provide wound care
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias
- Care for post-op patients, including occasional stable open-heart surgery patients
- Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely electronic health record documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
- Float to other Medical/Surgical units and rehab as needed
- Participate in rapid response/code teams as necessary
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, including infection control and patient safety standards
