Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Indianapolis, IN 46202 (Indiana healthcare jobs)
• Unit: A3N - Cardiovascular Surgical Services (Med/Surg Telemetry)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
• Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,650 - $1,770
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6
• Setting: On-Site, Teaching Hospital

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or Compact State (must be in hand before start date)
• BCLS certification required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Ability to float to Med-Surg, PCU, ICU, and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Weekend flexibility: Must be available for at least 50% of weekends during contract
• Willingness to precept and/or be shadowed by nursing students
• Two supervisor references required
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiovascular and peripheral vascular conditions, arrhythmias, endocarditis, CHF exacerbation, and overflow cases
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, administer blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and start/maintain IVs
• Implement heparin protocols and provide non-invasive airway management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, rapid response)
• Document accurately using Cerner EMR (preferred)
• Float to Med-Surg, PCU, or ICU units as required
• Participate in precepting and support clinical learning for students
• Provide charge nurse coverage as needed (training provided)
• Comply with hospital policies for call-ins and shift coverage
