Travel Nursing Job Details

- Unit: A3N - Cardiovascular Surgical Services (Med/Surg Telemetry)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
- Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,650 - $1,770
- Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
- Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6
- Setting: On-Site, Teaching Hospital
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or Compact State (must be in hand before start date)
- BCLS certification required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Ability to float to Med-Surg, PCU, ICU, and affiliate hospitals as needed
- Weekend flexibility: Must be available for at least 50% of weekends during contract
- Willingness to precept and/or be shadowed by nursing students
- Two supervisor references required
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiovascular and peripheral vascular conditions, arrhythmias, endocarditis, CHF exacerbation, and overflow cases
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, administer blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and start/maintain IVs
- Implement heparin protocols and provide non-invasive airway management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, rapid response)
- Document accurately using Cerner EMR (preferred)
- Float to Med-Surg, PCU, or ICU units as required
- Participate in precepting and support clinical learning for students
- Provide charge nurse coverage as needed (training provided)
- Comply with hospital policies for call-ins and shift coverage
