• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts/week (07:00 - 15:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On Call: Yes (including potential weekend coverage)
• Weekend Requirement: Yes (call coverage may include weekends)
• Patient Census: 60-70 daily
• Number of OR Rooms: 25
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2330-$2500

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (scrub nurse experience preferred)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be active and in hand)
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• CNOR certification preferred
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical exemptions considered for COVID-19 only)
• Skills checklist and two professional references (one from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge RN within the last year)
• Compliance with Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry requirements
• Ability to travel to Illinois for mandatory fingerprinting if required

OR RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients of all ages
• Circulate and, if qualified, scrub for a wide range of surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend coverage as scheduled
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital and healthcare policies
• Support orientation and complete required training modules during scheduled shifts
• Float between facilities within the health system as needed
