CT / Rad Tech Job Details – Lexington, KY
- Location: Lexington, KY 40536
- Assignment Type: Travel Cath Lab Technologist
- Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab)
- Start Date: January 26, 2026
- End Date: May 4, 2026
- Contract Duration: 14 weeks
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 - 17:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,600 - $2,790 per week
- Call Requirements: 1 late call per week (5:30p-7:30p), 1 call shift per week (5:30p-7:00a), 1-2 call weekends per 6-week schedule
- Orientation: 30 hours
Qualifications for CT / Radiologic Technologist Jobs
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT / Radiologic Technologist (Level 1 trauma experience preferred)
- Active Kentucky State Radiology License (KBMIRT) or Compact License (pending license accepted at submission)
- ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
- PALS certification required (can be obtained before start date)
- Successful completion of EKG onboarding exam
- Experience with Epic EHR and McKesson required
- Ability to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
- 1 reference from a charge nurse or supervisor required at submission
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Local travelers within 75 miles are not accepted
Key Responsibilities – Cath Lab Technologist
- Perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures in the Cath Lab, including angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, heart catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, and TAVR
- Monitor and interpret EKGs and dysrhythmias
- Maintain sterile field and assist with scrub duties as needed
- Operate advanced imaging equipment (Philips Single, Bi Plane Angiography preferred)
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in Epic EHR
- Participate in call rotation and respond to emergent cases as scheduled
- Provide care for diverse patient populations: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Comply with all hospital policies, safety, and compliance protocols
