• Shift: Day Shift (06:45 – 17:15) with call rotation
• Hours per Week: 40 guaranteed
• Shift Duration: 10 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1810 - $1940

Operating Room Tech Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Surgical Technology from an accredited Trade or Technical School
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – NBSTSA certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced operating room environment
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures

OR Tech Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all surgical supplies and equipment are ready and functioning
• Scrub, gown, and glove self, surgeons, and assistants for surgical procedures
• Perform instrument and supply counts with the circulator before surgery and incision closure
• Maintain sterile technique and assist in draping the sterile field during procedures
• Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment to the surgeon throughout operations
• Assist with terminal cleaning of the operating room and instrument sterilization
• Help orient and train new surgical technologists and students
• Contribute to a safe, effective, and patient-centered surgical environment
