Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

Duration: 13-week contract
Hours per Week: 36
Shift: 12 Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state license
Minimum 1 year recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or acute care nursing
BLS certification (required)
ACLS certification (preferred)
Ability to complete all onboarding healthcare requirements (immunizations, background checks, competency exams)
Strong clinical, communication, and critical thinking skills

Cardiac Stepdown Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality cardiac nursing care to patients in the Stepdown unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and manage IV therapies
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, recovery, and discharge instructions
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
Maintain a safe, supportive, and compliant clinical environment
