• Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Prince Frederick, MD 20678
• Healthcare Setting: On-Site, Community Hospital
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 (couplets)
• Floating: May float between similar units
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Current certifications: ACLS, NRP, and EFM
• Travel nursing experience required
• STABLE certification preferred
• Ability to work weekends and float as needed
• Pending Maryland RN license accepted

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns in a Level 1 nursery
• Monitor and assess patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
• Educate and support patients and families on postpartum and newborn care, following Baby Friendly guidelines
• Care for NAS babies and assist with critical care in a small nursery as needed
• Document patient care accurately and promptly
• Participate in orientation and required online learning modules
