Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 30
• Number of Staff: 57
• Patient Ratios:

  • Day Shift: 1 charge RN per 2-3 patients
  • Night Shift: 1 charge RN per 2-3 patients
  • Overflow may increase ratios
• Type of Equipment: Lenet beds, GE monitors
• EMR: Meditech

Required Skills

• Must Have:

  • Neuro experience
  • Trauma experience
• Preferred:

  • Neuro certification

Typical Procedures

• Rapid intubation
• Chest tubes
• EVD (External Ventricular Drain)
