RN Job Details – Augusta, GA
- Location: Augusta, Georgia 30901
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 12, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Resource Float Pool – Medical/Surgical
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (approx. 6 weekends per contract)
- Floating: Required to all Med/Surg and Med/Surg Telemetry units; may float to sister campus (approx. 3 miles away)
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
- Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
- Charting System: Epic (required)
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or Compact State Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience
- Epic charting experience (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Ability to float to all Med/Surg and Med/Surg Telemetry units
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compliance with facility onboarding and orientation requirements
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required
RN Responsibilities – Medical/Surgical Float Pool
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse Medical/Surgical and Telemetry diagnoses
- Float between Med/Surg and Med/Surg Telemetry units within the hospital and to the nearby sister campus as needed
- Accurately document patient care using Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital protocols and best practices
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training modules
- Work every other weekend and be available for major holidays as required by the assignment
