Registered Nurse Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required)
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
Minimum 1 year of NICU or neonatal nursing experience preferred
Additional professional education, training, or certifications may be required by specialty area

NICU Nurse Responsibilities

Assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned NICU patients under physician direction
Utilize current nursing practices and clinical techniques in a Level III NICU environment
Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to individualize neonatal care
Direct and supervise nursing support staff according to standards of nursing practice and hospital policies
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory and healthcare requirements
