Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Massena, NY 13662 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract
• Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele RN)
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x12-hour day shifts (07:30 AM – 07:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Patient Ratios: Days 1:6, Nights 1:7, Weekends 1:8
• Charting System: Epic (required)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted New York Registered Nurse license (RN license must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
• Ability to float to other units as needed

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule-out
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code situations
• Administer oxygen therapy (nasal cannula, oxygen tanks), manage peripheral IV lines, and provide non-invasive airway management
• Implement isolation precautions and follow infection control protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in orientation and complete required training modules prior to start
