• Location: Indianapolis, IN 46256
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: April 27, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12 Hour Nights (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Floating: Rarely, may float to NICU as helping hands
• Scrub Color: Seal Blue
• Parking: Free

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (travel nursing experience required)
• Ability to independently circulate own C-Section
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS
• Must reside at least 50 miles from any CHN facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Pending Indiana RN license accepted (must apply within 48 hours of offer)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Willingness to float within scope of experience if needed
• 2 professional references preferred

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a Level 3 LDRP unit
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate for C-sections independently
• Manage care for high-risk and antepartum patients
• Triage obstetrical patients and oversee labor & delivery processes
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns, initiating appropriate interventions
• Start and maintain IVs, administer medications, and provide patient education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, and social services
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Promote a safe, compassionate, and patient-centered environment
