Travel ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Petoskey, Michigan (49770) – Northern Michigan healthcare jobs
• Facility: Advanced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: March 2, 2026
• Assignment Length: 8 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: Possible

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (excluding floating experience)
• EKG monitoring and interpretation skills
• Willingness to float to similar critical care units as needed
• Completed ICU skills checklist within the past year
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS (must provide physical copies)
• Preferred: Experience in Neuro ICU, CVICU, Trauma, ventilator management, CRRT, and balloon pumps

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including post-cardiovascular surgery patients
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Apply clinical judgment to diagnose and manage patient responses to health conditions
• Float to related critical care units as required
• Maintain strict attendance for consistent patient care delivery
• Participate in national clinical trials and research as part of the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) team
