Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14626 (Upstate New York healthcare)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: February 16, 2026
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: 2300 MS/Tele (Medical Surgical Telemetry, 20 beds)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required within Med/Surg, ICU, and ED units
• Charting: Epic EMR (Epic experience required)
• Scrub Colors: Navy and white

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proficient in Epic electronic medical record system
• Skilled in cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management
• Experience with rapid response and code teams
• Peripheral line care and management
• Knowledge of non-invasive airway management and oxygen therapy
• Willingness to float to similar units as needed
• No local candidates within 75 miles of Rochester, NY

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac and stroke diagnoses
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms; manage dysrhythmias and respond to rapid response situations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PCTs, phlebotomy, respiratory therapy, and physical therapy
• Administer medications, manage peripheral and central lines, and conduct comprehensive patient assessments
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols
• Assist with patient mobility and activities of daily living, utilizing equipment such as hoyer lifts
• Float to Med/Surg, ICU, and ED units as required to support facility needs
