• Weekend Requirement: Three weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period (Friday and Saturday)
• On-Call: No call required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical ICU (SICU) or Medical Surgical ICU experience
• Open Heart trained (critical care nursing skill)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan (LARA/Nursys must state active status)
• BLS (AHA) certification – required
• ACLS (AHA) certification – required
• Current ICU-specific skills checklist (within 1 year)
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Prior travel nurse assignment history – preferred
• Epic EMR experience – preferred
• Permanent address must be outside a 50-mile radius of Midland, MI

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver integrated pre- and post-operative critical care using the nursing process
• Assess and monitor patients for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support needs
• Coordinate and organize all aspects of patient care based on individual needs
• Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as needed
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement total patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of patient safety and quality
