Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Georgia or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of recent Cardiac Stepdown or CPU nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Intermediate/advanced telemetry and IV start skills
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays
• Minimal to no requested time off (RTO must be included in submission)

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality cardiac nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiac Stepdown Unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry
• Initiate and maintain IVs, manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration), and administer blood products
• Provide care for patients with chest tubes, tracheostomies, and feeding tubes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Participate in rapid response/code teams as needed
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner EMR
• Maintain infection control and isolation precautions
• Support patients and families with education and compassionate care
