Travel Nursing Job Details

• Job Title: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (Rehabilitation Unit)
• Location: Sylvania, OH 43560 (Greater Toledo, Ohio)
• Contract Type: Travel Nursing
• Start Date: January 20, 2026
• End Date: March 24, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 9 weeks
• Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
• Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
• Weekend Coverage: Every third weekend
• Floating: Required within service line and Med/Surg units at Toledo, Flower, Bay Park, & Wildwood hospitals

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience
• Certifications: ACLS and BCLS (AHA required)
• Proficient in EPIC charting system
• Ability to float between units and facilities as needed
• Two professional references from the last 24 months
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• No local travelers within a 50-mile radius of Sylvania, OH
• Fingerprinting required for select Ohio healthcare units

Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a rehabilitation setting
• Manage patient ratios: 1:6 on nights, 1:5 on days/weekends
• Perform acute inpatient rehab tasks: blood glucose monitoring, feeding tube care, NG/PEG tube management, Foley catheter insertion/removal, blood administration, IV starts, and wound care
• Assess and care for patients with CVA, TBI, SCI, neuro, ortho, amputee, cancer/cardiac, debility, and other diagnoses
• Utilize assistive devices, mobilization techniques, and pressure ulcer prevention strategies
• Conduct pain assessments, patient teaching, and infection prevention
• Float between designated facilities and Med/Surg units as required
• Document patient care using EPIC electronic health record system
