- Facility: Hospital-based Cancer Center
- Position: Mammography Technologist / Radiologic Technologist
- Assignment Type: Travel healthcare contract
- Start Date: February 9, 2026
- End Date: May 9, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 40 hours/week (4x10 hour shifts, 8am-6pm; occasional Saturday 7:30am-3:30pm; no holidays)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2380-$2550
Mammography Technologist Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist or Radiologic Technologist
- Graduate of a JCERT Accredited Radiography Program
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
- Active Massachusetts State license for Radiology and Mammography (Massachusetts healthcare license)
- Experience with 3D Digital Breast Tomosynthesis and 2D Digital Mammography
- Proficiency in bone density (DEXA) exams preferred
- Completion of required didactic/clinical training in Digital Breast Tomosynthesis and Digital Mammography
- Strong communication skills in English
Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform mammographic exams and procedures to detect breast abnormalities and breast cancer, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Conduct bone density (DEXA) examinations as needed
- Prepare exam rooms and equipment, ensuring MQSA compliance and accurate documentation
- Review requisitions and previous reports/images, consult with radiologists, and ensure accurate billing
- Educate patients on exam procedures and result processes
- Complete and clarify patient history forms, referring to nurse practitioners as needed
- Safely operate mammographic equipment, adjusting controls and following radiation protection standards
- Evaluate images for technical quality and maintain accurate radiology records
- Perform and document required Quality Control tests and maintain inventory of supplies
- Report equipment malfunctions and ensure timely repairs
- Maintain knowledge of protocols, scan procedures, data management, and radiation protection
- Participate in continuing education and maintain compliance with ARRT and Massachusetts state licensing standards
- Uphold ethical relationships and patient confidentiality at all times
- Consistently provide service excellence to patients, families, and colleagues
- Perform other related duties as assigned
