• Contract Type: Travel nursing contract
• Start Date: February 9, 2026
• End Date: May 11, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour (06:45 - 15:15); schedule may flex as needed
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $3050 - $3280
• Call: One late shift (until 5 PM) and one call shift per week; one weekend call per month
• Float: May float to sister hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL (25 miles away)
• Scrubs: Provided

RNFA Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN First Assist experience required
• Active Illinois RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• ACLS, CNOR, and PALS certifications preferred
• First-time travel nurses accepted
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to pass OSHA Respirator Clearance and FIT testing (must be clean shaven)
• Must not reside within 70 miles of facility (local candidates not accepted)

RNFA Responsibilities – Surgical Nursing Jobs

• Provide first assist support in general, bariatric, orthopedic, spine, podiatry, endoscopy, gynecology, and pain management surgeries
• Perform advanced perioperative tasks including infection control, wound management, universal protocol, and radiation safety
• Assist with laparoscopic, minimally invasive, and pediatric surgical cases
• Participate in call rotation and late shifts as scheduled
• Float to sister facility in Mt. Vernon, IL as needed to support patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and more
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic charting system
