Radiology Technologist Job Details

Location: Des Moines, IA 50309 (Iowa healthcare jobs)
Setting: Cardiac Cath Lab with Electrophysiology focus
Employment Type: Travel Contract (13 weeks)
Start Date: February 16, 2026
End Date: May 18, 2026
Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts per week (40 hours/week), 7:00 AM start time
On Call: Every 3rd evening and every 3rd weekend
Floating: Required across all Des Moines campuses to similar units
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2490-$2670

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Electrophysiology (EP) and Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) settings
Valid Radiologic Technologist certification (ARRT or equivalent)
Active Driver's License
Completed skills checklist for Electrophysiology/EP and Cardiac Cath/CCL
Professional reference from a supervisor or manager within the last 24 months (preferred)
CEPS or RCES certification (preferred but not required)
Previous travel healthcare experience (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, specializing in Electrophysiology
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver optimal patient care
Float to similar units across Des Moines healthcare campuses as needed
Participate in on-call rotation (every 3rd evening and weekend)
Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC EMR
Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards in clinical settings
